Background of the Study
Healthcare delivery in rural areas of Nigeria has been a major challenge, with many rural communities suffering from inadequate healthcare services, poor infrastructure, and a shortage of skilled healthcare personnel. Akwanga Local Government in Nasarawa State is no exception, with residents facing limited access to quality healthcare. In response to these challenges, the Nigerian government has developed rural healthcare delivery policies aimed at improving healthcare access in rural areas, including the provision of mobile clinics, the establishment of primary healthcare centers, and the training of community health workers (Oluwaseun & Ahmed, 2023). Despite these efforts, many rural areas continue to experience poor healthcare outcomes due to inadequate funding, infrastructural challenges, and a lack of community engagement. This study will appraise the effectiveness of rural healthcare delivery policies in Akwanga, with a focus on the accessibility, quality, and impact of healthcare services provided.
1.2 Statement of the Problem

This study will explore the gaps in the implementation of healthcare delivery policies in Akwanga and propose solutions to improve rural healthcare access.
